Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, officially titled “Dharman”, has created huge excitement among fans after the makers announced that filmmaker Ashwath Marimuthu will direct the project. The movie, earlier known as Thalaivar 173, is being produced by Kamal Haasan.
The project has gone through several changes before finalising its current team. Rajinikanth revealed that the film had discussions with multiple directors before Ashwath Marimuthu took charge.

The film was earlier associated with director Cibi Chakaravarthi. Reports suggested that Cibi stepped away from the project, leading to speculation about a change in direction. Ashwath Marimuthu was later brought on board to handle the film.
The movie reportedly faced multiple directorial discussions before reaching the final stage, with names including KS Ravikumar and Sundar C also linked during different phases of development.
