The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana will begin with a house-to-house enumeration drive from June 25, 2026, as part of an effort to update and verify voter lists across the state. The exercise will continue until July 24, 2026, officials said.
What is Telangana SIR?
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is a voter roll revision exercise aimed at:
- Cleaning and updating electoral rolls
- Ensuring all eligible citizens are included
- Removing outdated or incorrect entries
- Improving accuracy of voter records
The exercise is being conducted under the supervision of the Election Commission of India through the Telangana election machinery.
House-to-house verification process
During the enumeration period:
- Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit households across Telangana.
- They will distribute enumeration forms and collect filled forms from voters.
- BLOs will visit each household multiple times to complete the verification process.
- Citizens are requested to cooperate with officials during visits.

Forms and voter participation
Each voter will receive two copies of the enumeration form.
One completed form will be submitted to officials.
The second copy will remain with the voter as an acknowledgement.
An online option for completing the process will also be available.
No extension after July 24
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy said the house-to-house enumeration will end on July 24 and there will be no extension beyond the deadline.

- Check information provided in the enumeration form
- Cooperate with BLO visits
- Report corrections if any details are wrong
- Ensure eligible family members are included in the voter list
