Hyderabad: A 29-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death following a dispute in Mariyam Colony under the Balapur police station limits during the early hours of Monday. Police have identified the victim as Fahad Bin Abdul Rahman Balkhashar, a local entrepreneur who operated a vehicle washing service centre in the area. Authorities have launched a manhunt for two suspects who fled after the attack.

According to the police,

the incident occurred at around 2:30 am when the accused, identified as Salam Boum and Sayeed Boum, allegedly called Fahad outside his residence, reportedly to discuss an ongoing dispute. During the conversation, the argument escalated, and the duo allegedly attacked him with a knife, inflicting multiple grievous injuries before fleeing the scene.

Family members and local residents immediately rushed Fahad to Owaisi Hospital for treatment. Despite efforts by doctors to save him, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. His death has left his family and residents of the locality in shock. Fahad is survived by his wife and young son.

Preliminary investigations

revealed that the victim and the two accused were acquainted through a local gym. Police believe tensions had been brewing between them for several days. Investigators said that a previous confrontation between the parties had reportedly been resolved after Fahad’s brother intervened, preventing violence at that time. However, the dispute resurfaced and ultimately turned fatal.

Police are also examining reports that one of the suspects had allegedly visited Fahad’s residence with a knife a day before the murder. Although the matter was temporarily settled through family intervention, investigators suspect the unresolved dispute led to the deadly attack in the early hours of Monday. The exact motive behind the murder is still under investigation.

Following the incident,

Balapur police reached the crime scene, conducted a preliminary investigation, and shifted the body for post-mortem examination. A murder case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police teams are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and questioning witnesses to reconstruct the sequence of events.

Authorities have confirmed that both accused are currently absconding, and multiple police teams have been formed to trace and apprehend them. Officers expressed confidence that the suspects would be arrested soon as the investigation progresses.

The incident has once again raised concerns over violent crimes stemming from personal disputes in Hyderabad. Police have appealed to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the accused to come forward and assist the investigation. Further details are expected to emerge as the probe continues.
