The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory ahead of the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu celebrations in Secunderabad. Thousands of devotees are expected to visit the historic temple during the annual festival, prompting authorities to impose traffic diversions, road closures, and special parking arrangements to ensure smooth movement and public safety. The restrictions will remain in force from 12:00 am on August 2 until 3:00 am on August 4, 2026, or until the festivities conclude.
Traffic Restrictions in Effect
Traffic police have announced that several roads within a 2-kilometre radius of the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple will either be closed or diverted during the festival.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes wherever possible. Authorities have requested commuters to plan their travel in advance to avoid delays.

Roads That Will Remain Closed
The following roads will remain closed to regular traffic during the Bonalu celebrations:
Tobacco Bazar and Hamali Statue roads leading to the temple.
Subhash Road from Bata Crossroads to Rocha Bazar.
Hill Street route via Adavaiah Crossroads towards the temple.
General Bazar and surrounding temple approach roads.
Only authorised vehicles and emergency services will be permitted in these areas.
