Hyderabad: A 28-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Balanagar on Saturday, amid ongoing marital disagreements and her suspicion that her husband was involved in a relationship with another woman, police said.

The incident was reported from Sumithra Nagar, where the woman, identified as D. Navaneetha, lived with her family.

Woman leaves seven-month-old child with mother-in-law

According to the police account cited in the report, Navaneetha had left her seven-month-old son with her mother-in-law before going into another room. She was subsequently found hanging inside the room.

The incident has prompted a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Frequent disagreements between couple

Police said Navaneetha and her husband had reportedly been experiencing frequent disagreements. The disputes were allegedly linked to multiple domestic issues, including the husband’s drinking habit.

Another source of tension was Navaneetha’s suspicion that her husband was involved with another woman. The allegation remains part of the circumstances being examined and has not been independently established as fact.
